The Audi Q3 has been around for over 10 years. It’s one of Audi’s most popular and least expensive subcompact SUVs in its class. The brand-new version combines both modern tech and also practicality. However, the new Q3 is not a great off-roader compared to its rivals the BMW X1 and the Mercedes GLA- Class. When compared to its competitors both of them offer you 30 more horsepower than the Q3.
The new Q3 offers an extensive range of standard equipment like adaptive cruise control, a sunroof, and heated leather seats. The Q3 keeps Audi’s emphasis on cutting-edge technology and exceptional handling. Since the Audi Q3 40 will no longer be available in 2025, the Q3 S Line 45 will continue to be available, boasting a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 228 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft.
Audi SUV Family
Audi manufactures a variety of SUVs. The largest are the Q8 and Q7. The Q5 follows. Compared to those, the Q3 is smaller and rivals vehicles like the Volvo XC40 and BMW X1. Although Audi has a Q2, it is anticipated that this model will be retired. The Q3 may then emerge as Audi’s most reasonably priced SUV.
What’s New on the Outside?
The 2025 Audi Q3 has a sleeker, more modern appearance. It has better road presence because it is somewhat larger and around 40 mm longer. The bigger Q5 provides some design inspiration for the front end.
The headlights are a major alteration. “Digital matrix” headlights are available from Audi. To warn you of approaching vehicles, these can project warnings or symbols onto the road. OLED rear lights are another fashionable option, but both are more expensive.
Eleven paint colors are available, including two brand-new hues called Sage Green and Madiraa Brown. The wheels are between 18 and 20 inches in diameter.
Inside the Cabin
Compared to the previous model, the interior looks completely different. With its 2019 model year debut, the second-generation Q3 eliminated almost all of our concerns with the prior model. With its larger size, improved design, updated technology, and more user-friendly controls, it offers a significantly better driving posture and more comfortable front seat, partly because of its eight-way power adjustments and lumbar support.
When matched with the Q3’s standard leather upholstery, heated front seats, and panoramic sunroof, it feels deserving of the four-ring emblem. A completely digital gauge cluster, contrasting microsuede on the dashboard and doors, and ambient interior lighting are available for an additional fee for those who still want more luxury.
The boot holds up to 488 liters of space. That’s slightly less than the previous model, but that’s because the new model has a better sound system, which takes up some room. The battery reduces boot room to 375 liters if you opt for the plug-in hybrid version. However, the back seats may glide forward and fold in a 40:20:40 ratio, making it easier to transport heavier objects. In the ideal configuration, total space can exceed 575 liters.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Most Audi Q3 models come with an 8.8-inch touchscreen MMI infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The same content is also available on a larger, 10.1-inch touchscreen. We found the interface beautiful and easy to use due to its large icons and haptic feedback.

However, its low position on the dashboard may be bothersome. SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless charging, and a Sonos music system with 15 speakers and 680 watts are among the top options.
Engine Options and Performance
Under the hood, The Q3 45 packs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 228 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels via the standard quattro all-wheel drive system. The transmission shifts quickly and includes both a Sport mode and the option for manual operation.
The steering is direct, but lacks feel. The suspension is designed for comfort more than performance, yet a hardcore suspension would look out of place here. As it stands, the chassis and engine are well-matched, resulting in a pleasant and occasionally lively driving experience.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The Q3 45 is rated at 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, putting it in line with the segment and trailing the Volvo XC40 by only two mpg in each metric. For more information about the Q3’s fuel economy, see the EPA’s website.
Pricing
The 2025 Audi Q3’s price ranges from $41,095 to $43,895, contingent on the trim and available extras.
Which One should you Buy
This is a simple one. Upgrading to the Premium Plus trim offers many desirable features, such as a 360-degree exterior camera system, a hands-free power liftgate, a wireless smartphone charging pad, power-folding exterior mirrors, ambient interior lighting, a premium stereo tuned by Sonos, SiriusXM satellite radio, and memory settings for the driver’s seat. A 12.3-inch digital gauge display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and a traffic-sign recognition system are all included in the optional $2000 Technology package.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
The Audi Q3 has a lot of driver-assistance features. All versions come with automated high beams, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automated emergency braking. Available features include front and rear parking sensors, park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and rear emergency braking.
What We Think
The 2025 Audi Q3 features updated styling, greater technology, and economical engine options. While the cabin isn’t as upscale as vintage Audi models, it’s a significant upgrade over the previous Q3. It’s more comfortable, stylish, and functional than ever.
